What is the difference between NNR and SNR?Updated a year ago

These values are based on two standards measuring the same thing: sound attenuation provided by a hearing protection device (earmuffs or earplugs). NRR complies with the US standard to secure our ANSI certification while SNR complies with the EU standard to secure our CE certification. SNR ratings are usually a little bit higher (2-3 dB) than the NRR  ratings for the same product. This is just because of the different way of calculating, described by the standards but it's important to note that they are representative of the same performance and functionality.
